lower cost than the box store for 3, with it working correctly.unit is a 3 wire, two are hot/common with the red being for your on off light. remember to complete the wiring from the light back to the breaker boxi would/or will buy again. i needed these due to a lightning strike. 2nd this year

The 3 sensors arrived, and I wired up the first one. It wasn't functional. Ditto for the second sensor. No current "after dark." I had read that sometimes a sensor needed 30 sec to kick in and respond, but even after 60 sec., neither of these would open the circiuit and provide current. Gonna return the whole batch. And, ps- I bought a more expensive, similar sized relay from Home depot, and it worked great.

I converted my outside lantern lights from LED to a normal light socket. Had to replace, socket and light sensor. I was a little discouraged when I tried testing the new setup by covering the sensor with a piece of black tap, expecting it to turn the light on, it did not. Well, I found out it doesn't work that way. So I went ahead and installed it on the house and waited for the sun to go down. When the night sky was close to being dark, the light came on. Success, things worked out well.

Finally got around to installing this product today. Missing instruction but was able to find it online. From the module, connect red line to the black on the lamp, all whites together and black from the module to the black on the power source. Test with covering the photo sensor and it work with a 'click'.Not sure how long this will work, but for now, perfect.

These dusk to Dawn light controllers work great. Very simple to hook up. I am very pleased with these units. Highly recommended.

I installed these on the outdoor porch and garage lights. They were easy to install and made the outdoor lighting work from dusk-to-dawn. Now I don't have to be home to operate the lights. Affordable option!
