I have been using lens pens like this for a very long time, a decade at least. I don't know if there is not as much carbon powder in the pad or if the applicator is just not good. It deposited a rubber like material on my filter. At least the even was running slow so did not lose too many good shots. I will be more carefully picking a lens pen to use. It is wildly clear it may look like what I use. Obviously not a good quality product. I had a second one in my bag which did essentially the same thing. The rubber was way to soft and spread almost like slightly warm butter.I use this style as in the field works much better at handling issues on lens or filter. Cleaning cloths tend to cause micro scratches which many seem to not see impacting images. I do see them in certain land scape shots, maybe I look to hard who knows. Also you have to regularly wash them or replace them. The wet wipes add more time to handling stuff on lends or filters. I often have a CPL on typically, so this experience is for filters which are actually glass quality. Maybe it was the heat or outside use, however, has not been an issue in the past.

Bought these on a whim. They are not as good as the name branded ones that I've used in the past. One of the felt cleaners left adhesive residue on my optic lens as the felt pad fell off while using it. The brushes are fine, but nothing special. The plastic is cheap and flimsy. Would not buy again, and would go with one of the name branded ones.

Use at your own RISK. Bought these thinking great deal. They smudged my lenses so badly I have remove the lenses for an absolute deep clean. The rubber smudges, the neck is to weak allowing the cleaning heads to roll and the rubber smudges like warm butter across your lense. Almost impossible to remove especially in tight areas and corners.IMMEDIATELY THREW THEM IN THE GARBAGE!!!RATE THEM A MINUS 10!

Terrible lenspen. The glue that attaches the pad to the rubber cup extends beyond the pad and smeared my lens. It took a long time and application of lighter fluid to remove the gummy smear from the lens, with the danger of causing scratches. Definitely dangerous to use if you dan't want your lens to be damaged. There are many similar lenspens, choose another brand. These are no good. Sorry.

Very poor quality, of the three I bought, one smears glue all over the lens or filter surface you are trying to clean and although the double ended tips seem like a good idea, they are not very well secured and can even come out during use. I would avoid this one!

The first time I used this particular product. I used them on my glasses. It smeared a sticky glue like film all over the lens. it took a solution and about 5 minutes of scrubbing to get off. I could not imagine getting the gunk off, if it was in a tight place like a camera.the second thing I did with it, was throw it in the garbage.buy a quality name brand one that you trust. my previous one was from a known lens manufacturer ant it lasted a year of regular use.
