It keeps my hair from tangling in the rubber of my mask, which is why I bought these.I just wish they came in other colors. I have fluorescent yellow equipment so that my dive partner can see me. I'd have liked at least one of these to come in that color. Oh well. Black will do.

I purchased for mychildren to use so their long hair doesn't get tangled all summer long. They are comfortable and easy to use!! Their only complaint was that it was a little bigger than expected.The one downside is I had to remember how to re-string their goggles. I will update after a summer of swimming for quality purposes.

I use this to provide padding on the strap that goes through the straddle on a life vest. The strap was chafing and this item provided much needed padding that prevented it. Would definitely purchase it again.

I have a Tusa brand Mask Strap tamer on my primary mask, but not on my back up mask atm so I was looking to have one for the back up mask and spares if needed.These 'mask tamers' are quite useful when you have long hair so it will help prevent your hair from getting in front of your mask. I also noticed they improve the fit of the mask on your face by spreading out the pressure from the strap.All in all for the price paid, they are reasonable. I brought mostly on the merits of having 3 different colours so my partner can also have one and I can have one for my backup. They don't have the same height profile as compatible mask tamers from scuba companies. I'm yet to fix onto a mask and dive with one so I'm unsure if the height profile will make a significant difference.The are constructed and finished well with an outside (top and bottom) neoprene bindingIn comparison to other "mask tamers" they lack the small velcro tab inserts between the layers enabling you to fix the tamer in position relative to your mask strap.
