I bought these snakes to put around my blueberry bushes to keep the birds and squirrels away. It worked with the birds, but the squirrels were able to figure out they are fake. It may help if you move them around every now and then. My only complaint is they don't hold up well in direct sunlight and heat. They started to melt just enough to get stuck to the mulch as it got over 90 degrees. If you keep them in the shade or in cooler temperatures then should hold up just fine.

snakes look ok and likely fun for kid jokes. but do not scare my mocking birds from eating blueberries. also tried ultrasonic things and they are useless for intended purpose too

I store them in plastic containers when not warm enough for my potted flowers. they're still in new condition. most birds shy away from my snakes. I move them and change their position slightly every day. the two smaller ones look sneaky while the bigger one with the tongue can look hungry, ha.

The snakes are pretty basic rubber/plastic... Purchased to deter rabbits from entering my yard. So far, they seem to work.

I got a plastic falcon (day hunter) (labeled as a "hawk") to threaten the towhee to see if that would keep it from hanging out pooping on and scratching the car, but alas, that did not work, even on the car. So I got these snakes and looped them on the car mirrors and windshield. The snakes worked much better than the plastic raptor. And my 4-yr old nephew thinks the snakes are fun to play with, too. They feel a lot like real snakes, heavy and slick-smooth.

Great for keeping birds away from tomatoes. They deteriorate after only one season. They didn't cost much though.
