it was hard to find out information on these units. I contacted Amazon as I am legally blind I needed the control panel to light up. They assured me that it did it did not, and does not. The pictures are a little misleading only the clock area lights up with the LED. All the other controls are dark a bit frustrating but I must be honest and admit that it’s a really good looking unit what I could see of it. The face of the unit is like having a mirror exceptionally sleek. Like I said, my only problem was I have to use magnifying glasses to see the writing on the buttons. They assured me it was back lit. It is not. I spent a couple of weeks trying to find out which company made back lit panels and the name of the company that made this assured me also that’s what it was. Oh well.
