This is the best portable dog crate we’ve had. First of all, it collapses into an easy to carry and, not so heavy, portable crate with a nice sturdy handle. We set it up, put one of her blankets in, snd used a little dog treat as an incentive for our dog to get in. After that she walked in all by herself so it must have felt safe and cozy. This is great for traveling and I’ve recommended it to friends and families who like to take their pets when they travel.

The crate was a bit hard to assemble. Putting the skeleton together can be a little confusing. Once you get it together you need some strength to put the skeleton into the cover. I did it by myself and I'm an octogenarian. Some people might need help with it. It is much nicer looking than a metal crate, not as heavy, easier to move around, easier to put in the car, is not noisy, etc. I'm happy I chose this crate.

We bought this to replace a wire crate our small dog uses when she stays with friends while we travel. This is so much easier; easy to set up and take down. It looks nice and the construction is durable as long as no children fall on it. It has access on the top and two of the sides so it's versatile in where you can place it. I used high definition nail polish to paint the latches at the bottom of the crate so it's easier to see where you need to squeeze when folding it up. That area was too hard to see against the black of the bottom so it would be nice if they would make it yellow like the top folding latches.

Pros are it is very attractive and my Sheltie has plenty of room in it. She likes it, because I set it up in the living room, so she could get used to it. She went in and out of it several times, so I know she likes it. There is a thin, mat included, which is nice. But, I will still put additional bedding in for her. It is very light to carry and folds up conveniently which was important to me, as I am having back issues now and my metal crates are very heavy and hard to get down. Cons are I almost had heart failure when I opened the box. It comes in many pieces that you have to put together. My husband managed that for me. I practiced putting it up and down several times and I advise you to make sure your fingers are on the buttons. I got some small paper type cuts the first time I tried to take it down. I couldn't find anything sharp though and now I make sure my fingers are on the smooth, plastic buttons. I didn't have that problem after practicing for a couple of times. I have not used it yet, so I don't know how the zippers will hold up. But, the netting and the zippers look strong. I am a little concerned it is not American made, so I don't know how long it will last. But, on the whole I am happy with it and am looking forward to seeing how it works for me and my dog.

Door of crate was not strong, chewed off in 15 min. I thought she was chewing a toy I gave her. I was in the room on my bed.

Although I’m very happy with the purchase, I will say that mine came with absolutely no instructions for set up. Mark M did a video review here that is helpful to watch and thankfully I am somewhat mechanically inclined so once I got it figured out I absolutely love it! My dog is 17 years old and needed more protection so he didn’t get lost outside during cold weather. This restricts him from using the dog doors when I’m not at home in the cold weather. In the future, I may need it for him more than just for this. I’m very happy that I bought this for him.

This is very lightweight which makes it easy to turn over when your pup is inside. I got it for my 6mo puppy he is 15lbs and can roll it all the way over. It would probably be good for an inactive pet. Not for large pets!
