I got these square nits for making jigs and fixtures with T-track. The threaded fit of these nuts is good. The finish is a little rough. Most importantly, these differ from the square nuts I have bought before. My old square nuts were flat on one side and the upper corners slightly rounded off on the other side. This rounding improves ease of insertion into a T-track, while the flat side provides good grip if placed on the side of the fixture against which the threads will pull the nut. Not only is there plenty of surface area, but the relatively sharp edges provide a good bite into your track material.These nuts have the rounding on north top and bottom. Very easy to insert into the end of a T-track, but I question the strength of the grip you will get when the studs are tightened into the nuts.Recommended with reservations.

I ordered these nuts for making some jigs in my workshop. I like square nuts with 1/4-20 threads because it is easy to embed these nuts inside wooden knobs and other workpieces.These nuts have an outside dimension of 10.7 mm which is perfect with a 27/64" drill bit. I was able to drill a hole, chisel out the corners and drove the nut with a couple of strokes of hammer.Even if you may be able to get equivalent hex nuts for a little less cost, these square nuts make the job way faster, saving precious time. Also the square nut get nicely embedded - just add a dab of superglue and I have a sturdy homemade knob.The 1/4-20 threads is the most common thread type around in my workshop and 30 nuts in the package makes it a very affordable product offering.Overall, very satisfied and will not hesitate to purchase again.
