For years I rented a commercial areator to areate my ~1/2 acre property, but for the past few years I've hired a landscape company to do it for me - worth the time savings for a little bit extra $ to just have it done by a crew in a fraction of the time.I always mark off any rocks / paver stones, tall roots (those oak tree roots can hide in plain sight and be very tall under even scalped short grass), and in-ground sprinklers. In years past, this has been done with flimsy flags that I only hope stay upright when they arrive the following morning. They don't always though, as evidenced by the shattered sprinkler head last year. These go into the ground firmly with a malleting of the stake, and the bright orange plastic is easy to spot even from afar. It helps that I scalp my grass as short as possible, because it might be a little less obvious if I was using it on the normal non-aeration seeding season's 4" grass height.Perfect for what I need to use them for!

These neon orange ground marking whiskers are so easy to install! I really like that they stick up from the ground just a little. I've had others that are flush to the ground and they do get covered up easier. We'll be using these in areas that we don't typically mow - you could probably easily mow these down if you're not careful! They stand out and are easily seen, and it would take a lot of leaves or snow to cover them up. The ground nails are thick and long, so they should stay put. A pack of 30 will be more than enough for us to mark major boundary lines on our 6 acres.

These stakes are made nicely and are very sturdy but that is where the problem lies, I was intending to keep these in my hunting pack and use them to mark as I go so I don't get turned around while exploring deeper into the woods and unknown areas. The stakes are so heavy I was very surprised! If you are using these to mark property lines or something like that they will work great but these are just to big and heavy for keeping in my bag 24/7 as intended, I will get use out of them to set up before hunts and such but not something id carry at all times like planned

This review is for 30 Pcs Ground Marking Whiskers Neon Orange Marking Whiskers with Lightweight Stakes Survey Property Line Markers for House Garden Lawn Landscape Ground Hunting MarkersBrand: HZCGJMYThese are very effectrive for use as survey markers, utility locations, or any other situation where you need to semi-permanently mark a spot on your landscape. They would even be effective for marking something on an underground sprinkler system, buried sewer clean out, etc. I am using them along with a utility locator to mark the gas and electrical lines in my yard as we are planning to build a shop and it will be much easier if we don't have to move any of these lines. The color is bright and easy to spot and it even comes with a plastic hammer for hammering the aluminum nails into the ground. One tip, if you have rocky soil (or a big rock for soil, like in parts of Texas (limestone) or the desert southwest, drill a hole using a small hammer drill and a 6" carbide masonry bit first or the aluminum "nails" are not going to win the battle. There is less of the plastic "tuft" than on others that I've used but it really doesn't matter - these are just as visible.

These aren't the be all for ground marking as it depends on your needs for a particular project. Sometimes survey flags or ribbon, or marking spray paint may be better but these things definitely add their own dimension. They are listed as UV resistant but I don't think I'd want to mark anything long term outdoors with these. They also suggest these for use marking hunting ranges and so forth, which would be good for short term, but, where I hunt, these would end up being buried under leaves in the fall so maybe useful, maybe not.As to the construction and functionality, these are right on point. Well built and able to accomplish all tasks as advertised. Really a pretty cool item and I'm very happy to have these. I'm always needing to mark stuff for digging or other purposes. Highly recommended.

The flexible, high visibility markers are exactly what I needed to mark the boundaries of a deck slab that I will be pouring shortly. They install easily and can be quickly extracted and reused. I withheld one star because the included plastic hammer feels more like a toy out of a kids tool chest. It doesn't really work well to set the markers - use a regular hammer and you'll have easier results. Good product.

Not a lot to say other than a great simple idea that works. The whiskers appear to be bonded well in the aluminum clips. Do not see any problem with them falling out. They are long enough should be visible in fairly tall grass. As you may be able to see in the photos, I trimmed mine to 3†for yard markers. I will be able to mow right over them, and they will stay intact. Even if the whiskers somehow vanished, you could still find the steel spike with a metal detector. Fantastic!
