First, I think I should have read the dimensions better, but these hangers are much smaller than I thought they'd be and of a very thin diameter wire. I've got a lot of S-hooks that I use in my kitchen and my closets, and thought these would be like those, great for hanging winter scarves and towels and such--but these are nowhere near big enough for that. They don't fit over a standard closet rod and won't hold even a heavy apron. They're more appropriate for little kitchen dish towels and wash cloths, or hanging socks to dry, and other small purposes like that.On the bright side, they do fit my clothesline pretty well, so I'm still able to use them. They're not big enough to trust them as plant hanging hooks, but could be used for hanging cut herbs to dry in the rafters or other light applications. They can also hook into vertical chains or grid mesh shelving, and support things like extension cords or cables running across a room, like in a plant grow room. So they have uses... But don't get these if you plan to hang heavy items.A side note is that they came in a plastic case, which took damage in transit (that's a shipping problem and not the fault of the hooks), but the case ended up shattered and spilled some of the hooks. That's really more to do with how Amazon chose to mail them (in a padded envelope, not a box) but it is something to consider when ordering, because you might want to lump these into a set of other small items that hopefully will ship together in a box.

These little hooks are nowhere near "heavy duty" status. They're small and thin and don't look like they'd stand up to anything much heavier than a small plant. I'm not really sure what to do with them.
