There’s a slight bit of assembly, but that allows you to customize it to your size. They’re very light. They actually feel delicate, but not and do a great job keeping the water out and you can still hear things.

These... are just plain bad. For the price you're be better off shoving toilet paper in your ears. The buds come apart while you remove them, so I'm constantly having to dig out the attachment from my ears. The attachments don't stay on well at all. I lost the size that fit my left ear within the first week.

I wish I took it more serious before and wore these for ever session. I got surfers ear and have to get the surgery (if you are not familiar you need to look it up and start wearing protection). Since I’ve been using these and got a second pair so I never forget them. These are great plugs you forget they are in. Hearing is fine with them in.

Creatures ear plugs cost more but they are monolithic. These are in a bunch of small parts. Garbage. Fragile. Not water sealed. Bummer.

I like the fact that the whole thing untangles if you pull on the clear part of the neck band. Also I like the red-blue coloring of the ear pieces as I know right away which ear to put the ear piece in.

These earplugs DO NOT allow you to hear better than other products on the market. Now that I need to wear two plugs, not just one, I was desperate. So. even though other reviewers said what i am saying, I spent a fortune on these. They do not work as advertised. My recommendation is to go with the hydro seal plugs at half the price, and remove the inner (red) part of the plug. This will allow you to hear better and because the hole you are opening is so small, water will only get in if you are submerged for some time, which is not the case when surfing.
