Ordered this to replace the existing torque converter setup on my go kart. It worked perfectly on the 212cc 6.5HP Predator engine. I used the existing back plate. We've been riding the kart now for awhile and it is still holding up. The belt has even lasted longer than I expected.

The stock 6" pulley with 5/8" bore fits on both the torque converter jackshaft and my reverse gearbox shaft.This poorly machined 7" pulley only fits over the threads of both.

I ordered a MOTOBULL 30 Series Bore Go Kart Torque Converter to replace a worn unit, Wow! This is my first Motobull product, they did one heck of a Job putting this package together. The Driver and Driven meet or exceed what I have been getting from Comet and Yerf-Dog, that statement by itself says it all! The Motobull Workmanship, Quality, Materials, and Machining are picture perfect. The clutch works flawlessly as does the Driven with the belt that came in the overhaul set. Installing the replacement set is pretty much pull off the old and bolt on the new with this kit. It doesn't get any better than that in our shop.

I'm super excited about this CVT. I've wanted one of these for years. I do a lot of inventing and engineering, and I often run into challenges where an electric motor is not big enough for the machine I want it to drive. A CVT is a magical fix for that problem. It's like a gear with infinite automatic settings. Now, when I overload my machine, this CVT lowers the gear ratio, helping the motor to power through the heavier load. Of course, this would also be awesome on a go-kart. I wish I had one of those. For go-karts, this will help you get up steeper hills, and help you to go faster on flat or down hill runs. Again, it's a magical infinite automatic gear. That says it all. Enjoy.

This is a very nicely made copy of the Comet TAV2. However it lacks the predrilled mounting plate and cover that other kits include for around the same list price. That's ok, some installations do not require the mounting plate because there is something else the units can mount to. That is one of the advantages of the asymmetrical belt in the 30 series. You can line the pulleys up on a single flat surface without fiddling around with offsets. However, another thing the missing mounting plate sets is the distance between pulley centers. That is a very important dimension required for a good setup and I did not see it anywhere in the description, or with the product.So the 2 criteria "easy to install" and "value for money" sorry, its a fail just because your competitors did it better. There is nothing wrong with this kit. Its fine.
