I misread an article on Jay fisher about making chef knives and I should have gotten this type steel for the bolster not the blade. My mistake, but I did make some nice knives out of it after all.

As expected, this alloy is tough and tends to burn your cutters. I'm looking at 303. It's finish is not smooth.
