This is well made. It fits a standard shower pipe. Easy to use. Perfect. When I couldn't find it at a local box store the online option was great.

It won't stop turning from its set place using just the rubber washers. As the washer softness does not provide for a fixed position . Using the sealing tape provides a good seal with stability in positioning the valve.

I ordered this because I had a plumbing problem in a rental house. The galvanized pipes are old and one of the cold water faucets no longer worked. It turned out there was so much internal corrosion of the pipe it became as full as a packed cigar with bits of black particles that not only jammed the pipe but impacted the shut off valve below the sink so badly it couldn't be turned. After a lengthy and involved process much of the old galvanized pipe was cut out and replaced with PEX. A shutoff valve to the dishwasher was replaced and that is where this shut off valve was used. I used a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer to connect a braided water line to the dish washer. To get at the pipes that was jammed with particles I had to pretty much destroy the old Kitchenaid dishwasher and after all the bad plumbing was removed installed a new Bosch 500 DW. Having this shut-off valve was a triviality compared to the overall cost of the whole project but a few pennies saved is a few pennies towards the next breve latte.

valve is a bit heavy and is well built. easily adjusts the flow of water or turns it off completely. Is stainless steal, so should last a long while and should not rust. will update review if otherwise.

This simple valves is easy to insert into a shower system. The valve moves fairly easily and stops water flow, just as expected. It is all metal, including the internal ball. It takes maybe 5 minutes to install and provides a simple way to regulate my water flow in the shower.

I usually don't write gushing reviews but I really like this product.Nothing cheap about it. It came with caps on both ends and and some teflon tape which is a nice touch.It's on my shower now and it works very smoothly and feels like it's almost commercial quality.I think it will last a long time.I particularly like how I can slow the flow of water very easily. It's really a great addition to my shower.
