Product Description

injecting roast beef with the Premiala Meat Injector

The Premiala Meat Injector is the best way to create juicy, succulent roast, BBQ'd or smoked meats from home - and it's designed to last years, if not decades!

Did you know soaking meat in marinade only tenderizes the outer layer of meat, but the inside is left flavorless? Forget that! The Premiala Meat Injector pumps marinade, wine, spices, garlic, brine or any other sort of flavor deep inside the meat, creating tender, flavorful, juicy-all-the-way-through meats!

We use higher quality materials so it's stronger, and we supply spare parts in case you ever break or lose a part! Stop wasting money on cheap throw-away injectors - Premiala goes the distance!

Think all meat injectors are the same? Think again!

collage showing extensive use of stainless steel on the Premiala Meat Injector

Premiala cares about quality and safety. That's why Premiala exclusively uses 100% food-safe 304-grade stainless steel for EVERY component which comes into contact with food. If you've already got a cheaper meat injector, look inside or around the threaded end of the injector and you'll find shiny, silver surfaces. That's chrome-plating, which is hiding cheap, soft materials like brass, aluminum or alloy. Most manufacturers use these cheaper materials wherever they can get away with it which is why there are so many cheap meat injectors on the market. Unfortunately, brass, aluminum and alloy are also very soft materials, so the threads eventually strip out or it falls apart and you have to throw the whole injector away and start again!

The Premiala meat injector is built to a specification, not a price, so we demand 100% food-safe 304-grade stainless steel for EVERY component which comes into contact with food. Yep, even those little small parts that most people don't notice. Quality matters to us; so if it matters to you then choose Premiala. Trusted since 2015.

The Premiala Marinade Straw - a game-changer for meat injectors

close up of Premiala meat injector showing marinade straw

"A game-changer for meat injecting" - that's how one of our beta testers described the marinade straw after we'd perfected the design. So what is it, and how does it work?

In the past, filling a meat injector was one of the most frustrating parts of the job, especially when using the multi-hole needle. As you filled the syringe the marinade level in the container would drop; but once it dropped below the top hole of the needle the syringe would just start sucking air through the top hole rather than continuing to draw up marinade. So you'd never be able to draw all the marinade into the syringe. For years people have tried to find work-arounds, but they were all a hassle and they all made a mess!

Until now.

Put simply, the Premiala Marinade Straw is an oversized meat injecting needle that slides over the regular multi-hole needle and creates an air-tight seal against a new marinade straw seal at the top of the multi-hole needle. Now when you're drawing marinade up into the syringe through the multi-hole needle, the only way anything can get into the syringe is through the opening at the bottom of the marinade straw. This means you can suck up every last bit of marinade into the syringe, and pump it into the meat - right where it belongs!

How to use the Premiala Marinade Straw

attaching a needle to premiala meat injector

Step 1

Attach the multi-hole needle with the black washer to the Premiala meat injector (the marinade straw is not needed for other needles)

Step 2

Slide the Marinade Straw over the multi-hole needle, then pull firmly against the black washer

to create an airtight seal

Step 3

Submerge the end of the Marinade Straw into a container of marinade, then draw up the plunger to suck marinade into syringe. The airtight seal ensures all marinade in container can be drawn into syringe without air being sucked in through exposed holes on the multi-hole needle

Step 4

Slide syringe out of the Marinade Straw and inject into the meat; repeat steps 3-4 until all marinade is used

Three simple steps to using the Premiala Meat Injector

oiling the Premiala Meat Injector

Step 1: Oil the o-ring

Unscrew the barrel cap and thoroughly oil the silicone o-ring before use. You can use any food-grade oil for this, e.g. olive oil, rapeseed, canola, non-stick cooking spray etc.

If you skip this step the injector will be very hard to push!

Step 2: Fill the injector

Attach the correct needle to the injector:

  • Use the 12-hole needle for pure liquids into large meat (turkey, chicken, brisket etc), then slide on the Marinade Straw
  • Use the open-ended needle for pureed marinades into large meat
  • Use the jumbo open-ended needle for thicker marinades into large meat
  • Use the small steak needle for pure liquids into steaks and kebabs

Submerge the end of the needle in a container of marinade, then pull up the plunger.

Step 3 - Inject the Marinade

Push the needle into the meat, making sure it doesn't come out the other side. Then gently depress the plunger as you slowly withdraw the needle from the meat. Don't overdo it, and ensure you stop injecting just before the first hole reaches the surface to prevent marinade spurting out. Using the same hole, reposition the needle at a different angle and repeat. Continue injecting around the meat until the whole meat has been treated.

Follow the directions in the included 'Flavor Injector Secrets' e-book for how long to let the meat rest for before cooking.

Injectors, even cheap ones, are pretty easy to get right. Cheap ones have idiosyncrasies, stuff you put up with because they're cheap. This one isn't cheap, comparatively, but it isn't expensive either, by any means. It seemed to be of high quality in the description, the reviews were good and it had three needles of varying lengths and hole layouts to be capable of approaching about any injection job I'd find myself using it for. I bought it.When it arrived, I was very happy with the quality of the entire package: the injector (most importantly) was made of solid materials, with a good feel, tight fit on the plunger (not sloppy, either at the o-ring on the piston OR where the stem protrudes through the screw-on cap for the barrel), so the unit felt solid in your hand. The plunger and the needles all have high-end o-rings, PLUS an extra set for each piece that uses them! A very nice touch that I've not seen before! The packaging also impressed me with it's form-cut slots for all the pieces so they rest nicely inside a snug fitting foam piece inside a thick box that completes a package you feel reflects an overall wish to provide a good product in every way.I do a LOT of BBQ and smoking of meats, I research my products well before buying and, as a result, have been able to get very high quality products for affordable prices because I shop around and try to shop smart. I want my products to be as good as my food. When I injected my first piece of meat (two BIG tri tips), I used both the big liquids needle (with side holes) and the solids needle (with a thicker shaft and bigger end opening for things like finely ground garlic, herbs and spices) and was pleased with ease of use and the lack of leaks from the top of the barrel, denoting no leaking past the plunger seal. (Injecting a nice hunk of meat in front of your friends, readying for a great evening of company and food, and having liquid shooting from your injector is disheartening, to say the least.) No leaks, no mess, no problem...Well, one little problem; both needles were a bit askew in their threads in the barrel. I noticed a bit of looseness as I'd threaded them in, like the machining wasn't quite the best, but then I remembered that stainless steel, if tightly fitted on threaded components, can be a bit of a struggle to thread due to the friction created by the temperamental metal, so I figured that perhaps they intentionally cut the threads a bit loose because they knew they could count on their high quality o-rings to keep things as they should be. Which IS what ended up happening: though the needles were a bit off-angled when seated, and the threads weren't of the closest tolerances when threading to seat them, there was NO leakage and the unit worked fine. My only real issue was that the needles weren't quite parallel with the barrel when injecting, so I had to pay closer attention to the angle of the needle than the usual. The barrel and the needle were at slightly different angles...I was OK with this because of the price of this unit compared to others in its category. Especially since many in its category seemed to have less features (fewer needles, didn't seem to claim the quality this one did, poor reviews, higher price, et al...) than this did. I was willing to live with the small inconvenience of the needle and the barrel being a tad different because, otherwise, it was a solid unit. Then I started getting emails from the seller asking about my experience. "How's our product working for you?"... "Did you find our 'little extra' useful?"... (they sent a nice little e-book and a follow-up tips email) and, frankly, I found it annoying. I thought it was just another vendor trying to get a good Amazon review by doing legwork on the ass-end of a deal by sending me emails until I get tired of seeing them and do a review. It happens...So, after getting the third email asking about my experience, I decided to mention my slight issue with the unit. I responded as I readied for work one morning (at 3:30 or so PST, USA) and spoke of the alignment situation. I said it's not a deal-breaker with me, but I did find it somewhat conspicuous since the unit seemed of such high quality. Then I finished readying for work and took off. BEFORE I got to work, I received a reply from Greg, at the company, who said he was "sorry to hear about the issue, bla-bla-bla..." Then he did something the usual suspects in the "we're sending you this annoying email to bait a nice review from you on our product" crowd doesn't usually do: he sent input on how to see if it was the same issue they'd dealt with on a few other units. Very simple stuff I should have checked in the first place... 'roll the needles on the edge of a table to see if the threads were straight on the needle' (because I'd mentioned I thought the barrel machining was bad as well, so those threads weren't straight either, creating a bigger problem). Being the cynic I am, I thought it was nice to admit to previous problems of a lesser nature, but I was pretty sure my unit had bigger issues (which, again, I was okay with accepting... but they asked.) I rolled the needles and found that they were all a bit off. Then I rolled the barrel and found it, too, was off. Then I screwed in my needles, one at a time, into the barrel and took photos of the fairly significant difference in angles between the needles and the barrel of the injector. I sent them off.I got an email back post haste that said, basically, "Wow! I've never seen that before. That's not good." I responded that, 'yeah, it could be better, etc., and I like this type of thing to be right. How do we deal with this at this point?'He emailed back that my new unit was in the mail and would be delivered on Monday! (This all happened on Saturday, as I said, in the wee hours of the morning!)I go into such detail here because I have learned a few things buying online over the years I have been doing so (I am fond of sharing that I've been online longer than Yahoo! It's true...). Not all companies you deal with online are legit. We know that. Even the better companies have issues when it comes to customer service. In all the time I've purchased products online I've never had such a response from a company that was obviously not an Amazon, Shutterfly, Zazzle, etc. Big companies KNOW they have to make you happy or they'll suffer. Big companies send you CustServ emails that, when you reply, the name says it's the same person, but you're pretty sure it's a form letter. Even when they solve your issue, you feel they were just making sure they won't get a bad review. In this exchange, I dealt with Greg, every time, and Greg spoke to me of my personal problem with his product, in DETAIL, and went to the next step until he knew I was satisfied! That level of service most likely denuded every cent of profit my sale had afforded him, but he didn't care about that: he cared that I deserved the product they'd promised, and he made it happen. The replacement is perfect. Through it all I was treated as a valued customer. Any time I see this company is selling something I want, I will know that:1) They are selling it at a fair price, and...2) If I have an issue with it, they will make it good. You can't ask for more than that!In the future, I will look at those 'annoying' solicitous emails a bit more carefully and consider whether, possibly, the vendor is being proactive and sincere. I will consider the possibility that they are looking to make sure I am happy with my purchase, as it should be. I OWE Greg and this company this review, because they did all they could to make my buying experience positive. And, again, you can't ask for more than that!

This is my second one! I got eight years out of the first one so no complaints about the durability. I have owned no less than a dozen of these and this is the only one that held up. I cook a lot of BBQ and inject turkey, chicken, pork shoulders and brisket. It is more expensive than some of the others but it will hold up to constant use. The needles don’t plug when you are injecting liquid with seasoning in it, it is easy to clean and it has never leaked like some. Keep it clean and oil the o-ring with olive oil before storing it and it will last for years.

Firstly, I want to say this is an excellent kitchen utensil/gadget. Used it and it worked great for injecting brine into a 10lb pork butt before smoking, made a big difference in keeping the meat moist.I also am very pleased that this comes with spare o-rings. It appears to be a great design and looks to last a lifetime. The only 2 things that made the product not 5-stars worthy for me are as follows:- Packaging sucks, it is the brittle, sharp plastic. With the spare o-rings and multiple needles, it really should be a reusable case (maybe with the plastic snaps instead of plastic welded together. Mine shredded and I had to tape it back together, or come with a little pouch to keep it all together. I'll find something to put it in.- Mine had some leftover metal millings in the chamber, lots of tiny metal fragments. I also noticed that the threads where the cap screws on were not finished very well, and the threads are quite sharp. A thorough scrubbing and I believe all the bits have come free, but room for manufacturing improvements in that spot. Some screwing on/off of the cap and some of the sharpness has gone away, but disconcerting up front, and glad I checked before using it!

We purchased the injector to use in making brisket. After making the purchase, we received an email from Greg Carder, General Manager of Premiala. He sent us an instruction manual that included some marinade recipes. We made our first brisket using the marinade, and the flavors were wonderful. We are very pleased with our purchase.

This is the best meat injector I’ve used so far. It’s made of stainless steel and the quality is outstanding. You get 3 different high quality needles and brushes to easily clean the inside of the needles after each use. There’s 3 rings at the end to comfortably fit you fingers into which makes it easy to gather the basting solution and inject into whichever part of the meat you want to baste. This product definitely blows away all those plastic meat injectors I’ve used in the past. I’m guessing this must be the type of meat injector a master chef would use. Definitely an outstanding meat injector!

I'm a BBQ competitor, KCBS competition Organizer, and home cooker. I've gone through more meat injectors than I can count over the years using them for competitions and home use. I've always settled with the limited brands available at my local bbq shop, bass pro, and any home hardware/lowes type stores. The product diversity was always limited. The consistent element was that they all only carried cheaper models. I had purchased only one metal injector previously (only came with one tip) and had such a poor experience that I just defaulted to small plastic injectors with the anticipation I would go through one or two each season. I finally snapped and decided I wanted to find a high end product that would last and provide me with enhanced use and a longer lifespan.Selection:I did a bunch of research, read reviews, looked at what came with it and landed at the Premiala meat injector. On the surface it may look a bit more expensive than others but honestly I feel you get good bang for your buck. It comes with 3 needles/tips, cleaning tools for both the main tube and the needles and various extra 0- rings. Also, they advertised a 30 day warranty on amazon and some flexibility on their own page.Ordering:Once I ordered I was pleasantly surprised by receiving an initial email guiding me to access the user manual and providing some initial tips from the GM Greg. Then I received another email making sure I got the injector ok, had any questions, and giving me more tips. That is the first time that's ever happened to me on Amazon. Honestly, that level of customer service is pretty sweet.Product:K, so I haven't fully tested it out yet, I've just done a test shoulder but right away I can say this: the weight, construction, and material of this meat injector is awesome. Compared to the last metal injector I had this feels extremely durable. The flow and functionality was great and gave me the results I was looking for. Also, the capacity is perfect.

Consigliatissima.
