I got these to see if I could use them to hold down 3mm basswood on my diode laser honeycomb so as to etch the wood. These worked great, but the short length would prevent holding anything thicker that the 3 mm thickness of the basswood. I would recommend these for this purpose as they worked well.

These clips feel about the same as OEM parts, I would expect you could probably insert and remove a time or two before the wings soften too much to do their job. As for their 'first use' hold, it has been doing well holding on a wheel well liner for about a week now (including highway speeds).
