About the Plug 1M Ohm resistor to each connector offer protection in the event the workstation becomes live. That protection would limit the current to less than 0.3mA at 240 volts. Should the fault current continue the resistor will open circuit.
IInsert the plug into the supply socket making sure it is fully home, then connect the various elements of the EPA...such as ESD wrist strap,ESD Mat, Grounding Cord,Equipment and so on. This ensures that the EPA is at the same earth potential. As generally the workstation has more than one plug socket it is possible to use more than one EBP if more connections are required
The EBP is sealed and cannot be opened for repair. To test each connection use a multi-meter from the connector to the earth pin. The reading should be between 0.9 and 1.1M Ohms. As each connection point has its own 1M Ohm resistor, the resistance between two connectors should be approximately 2M Ohms. All EBP's are tested and then packed.
How To Test The Conductivity
AIDACOM Antistatic kit system resistant is 1-3M Ohms. There is 1M Ohms Safety Resistor in each grounding part. That is, there is 1M ohms in ESD Plug, ESD Wrist Strap Coiled Cord and Grounding Cord. So, when you test any part of conductivity by multimeter. You need to choose the right channel which resistance is more than 2M Ohms. Otherwise, there is not any value in multimeter.

I was looking for an ESD mat with proper grounding and a wrist strap to safely build a new gaming PC. This set has the plug that goes into the outlet, a connector to the mat, and that connector also attaches to the wrist strap. I also purchased a multimeter and electrical test kit in order to verify that the outlet was properly grounded and the resistors were present in each piece as described in the instructions.Very happy with this. Appears to be the real deal, and a perfect kit at a good price for somebody who needs all the pieces.The gloves were a little tight, but were breathable and comfy. Unfortunately, I got thermal paste on them and may not be able to get that off. But the gloves are not essential in my opinion.Buy this and protect your electronic components.

The mat feels high quality and seems resistant to heat. The grounding plug and connector is LONG with plenty of room to plug it in far away. The gloves were a bit tight but did great with removing a broken sharp screen.The only issue I had was I attached the ground wrist strap and the button came off easily and I can no longer attach it to ground myself. It made me worried about the rest of the kits build quality.
