These are so helpful if you have any sort of vaginal issues, such as chronic infections or irritation. It has a very long strip so it will last for a very long time. It is very easy and fast to test, you just use a cotton swab, swab the area and then apply it to the paper. The results are right there and very easy to read. If you are tired of going to doctors over and over for female issues but not getting to the root of the problem, I suggest getting these strips and then going from there. This will be able to point you in right direction as to what the underlying problem is.

I got this to monitor vaginal pH when I was having issues related to a birth control IUD and they work great, all you need is a qtip .I got rid of the IUD and now have a ton of the strips left over but it's a good thing to keep around.

I received the product in the mail today. It doesn't even work. The tape comes in a mustard color and when I went to swab the paper it immediately turned green. So I tried again just to verify, green. But then I noticed the top of the strip where I put my finger on it to tear turned green as well. So I washed my hands again and touched a clean part of the strip, it turned green. I rubbed a clean qtip on it, turned green. I put on a pair of gloves and touched it, turned green. Basically no matter what you do or use the paper turns green and it also rubs off on you and any product you use to touch it. Waste of money because you won't get an accurate result. I read the reviews on this and I was hoping the positive would outweigh the negative but nope. Don't buy this product.

The pH of the homemade soy yogurt solids should be around 4.5 to 5.0. The pH of the fluid surrounding the homemade soy yogurt solids should be around 4.0 to 4.5. The extremely beneficial, probiotic, lactic acid bacteria (LABs) will convert the sugar that is added to soymilk into lactic acid. Therefore, If the pH of the surrounding fluid drops to 3.5, it indicates that too much sugar has been added to the soymilk. Bacillus subtilis natto prefers a pH of 7.0 to 7.5 and can survive in very acidic conditions but will stop multiplying under a pH of 4.0. Therefore, if we want Bacillus subtilis natto to be part of our soy yogurt, then we would be better off fermenting unsweetened soymilk instead of sugar-sweetened soymilk because there would be less lactic acid produced if the unsweetened soymilk is fermented. The bad bacteria tend to prefer to feast on animal flesh and they tend to strongly dislike plant flesh, lactic acid from the LABs, and the anti-bacterial chemicals produced by Bacillus subtilis natto. However, even if the pH of the soy yogurt is kept at 7.0, Bacillus subtilis natto can only multiply about half as fast as the LABs. Therefore, wealthy people should buy the natto starter culture or genuine natto and use it frequently instead of refermenting the final result by adding more soymilk.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I'm not sure if it's user error or what, but these were basically useless to me. I could never figure out what the PH was by comparing the strip to the colors (it wasn't always the same shade but I could never figure out what it matched on the scale).Personally, I think it's easier just to use your own intuition (you know when something's up!). You can use tea tree oil to treat whatever it is because FYI TTO works on both bacteria and yeast (and it works way faster than any home kit!). Look up the tampon method.BTW Other reviewers have mentioned that these strips aren't suitable even for testing for BV and YI, as you might need a fuller range for that anyways. If I could do it again I would definitely get these instead: (which at the time of this review are $8) or , ($10). They test the full range from 0-14 (and because of that you can also use these strips for other things like testing the ph of your beauty products to see if they're in the right range to be effective).
