These are the real deal, super solid metal with a gorgeous gold finish. I was going to use them as key fobs but am now rethinking that as they're probably too heavy for that! The opening mechanism works well and smoothly, and they turn easily.

This solid brass clip is strong enough that my lab mix dog won't be able to break free from his outside tether. While training my horse, the trainer told me that brass is much stronger than stainless, and the quality of this clip shows me that she is right. In my experience, brass clips last for several years.
