I use these to pre-sprout peas and corn so that I can get them in the ground two to three weeks early. Quality has always been good.

This worked exactly how I hoped. I planted many, seeds as you can see in the attached photo, and that's not all of them. The seedling pots are NOT hard to separate, but they are very small. They will be damp, as you will be watering the seedlings. I cut them apart with scissors. It couldn't be easier. The key to growing in a small compartment is the soil you use. I used Burpee Seed Starter. As you can see, I got a pretty high germination rate for Southern California in the first 2 weeks of June, and our temps were close to 100 degrees for a few days. When I transplant them I set the pots in a half inch of water to soak the bottom and then as I transfer the seedling (with the entire pot) I carefully peel the bottom of the pot to expose and help the roots. Sometimes the roots have already gone through the bottom of the pot before I transfer them, so you have to be extra careful not to hurt the roots. This is a very inexpensive way to get your seedlings going. And, as you see, I can start a lot of seedlings in a small area. I'll be buying more.

These are smaller than what I have previously used, but 7 rows fit perfectly in my existing incubator trays. I can get 7x4=28 pots per tray rather than 5x3=15 pots per tray. So I have no wasted space and plenty of seedlings.I still have to see how well they will work as the plants mature. I will certainly have to transplant them earlier than with larger pots. The pots are sturdy and easy to use. Easy to cut apart as required. The only complaint I have is that the pots were pressed together by a machine which made them hard to separate one tray from another in the stack.

Great! The spray bottle itself is a phenomenal mister.

These seedling trays are much easier to use than plastic trays but not the best if using a heating mat because it dries them out to quickly. I got the best results starting the seeds outside and placing these in a tray. When I transplanted the seedlings it was super easy to cut them apart. They drain so well that several seedlings had tiny roots growing out of the bottom. Will definitely buy again.

I was so excited when I found these biodegradable plant trays for seedlings! As a mom with limited yard space, I needed something compact for my windowsill garden. I wanted to grow mint, rosemary, and basil, you know, the good stuff. The trays fit perfectly, and my seedlings were off to a good start. But then, things went south real quick. Mold took over before my plants could grow big. Maybe it's because I'm new to gardening, who knows? To save the day (and my sanity), I transplanted the seedlings to get rid of the moldy mess. But here's the kicker: these trays claim to be biodegradable, yet they're still holding up in the soil. I mean, come on! My plants need space to spread their roots and do their thing. So, yeah, these trays didn't live up to my expectations. Mold troubles and slow decomposition aside, I guess they might work better for seasoned gardeners or different situations. As a rookie mom-gardener, though, they didn't quite hit the mark. But hey, every gardening mishap is a chance to learn, right? I'll keep trying until I create the thriving garden paradise I want for my family.

It is a perfect starter kit for seedings. The markers are sturdy and hold a magic marker pen's ink. The water bottle works well and is the ideal size. The planting has been initiated, and we will see how the seedings grow in the next few days.
