Works just as advertised. It's a touch panel so it doesn't need to be pushed hard to make it work. The negative reviews of it not working right are probably from people pushing too hard. It bends the metal ribbon on the inside, which can be fixed if you just pull them back out with a small plastic hook. It detects the heat from your hand just like the touch screen on your phone. Installed in my 5th wheel a couple of months ago and it's been working great

Disgusted!!! I am unable to get this thermostat open to make the installation. It came with with a users guide that supplies operating instructions. The last line reads "In the unlikely event that you experiance a system failure. Refer to the SERVICE section." NO SERVICE SECTION SUPPLIED!

I thought it’d be cool to update an analog to a digital tstat. It will not work. After a couple hours troubleshooting and research, this unit will only work with a separate relay box. If you have an older unit, or have no A/C, you likely do not have one. They sell kits if you want go this route.Also This unit didn’t come with any install instructions so you’ll have to find the instructions for the Dometic Capacitive Touch unit.The product seems fine but I’m giving this review to warn anyone thinking it’s a good idea to update from analog to digital.
