These were great for building new railings on my front stairs. I replaced the old ratty painted pressure treated wood railings with custom rails I built using leftover Ipe deck wood and aluminum balusters. Of course these fittings only work on the straight rails on the landings. I had to use other angled fittings for the stair rails. These worked great and saved a lot of time and hassle. The alternative of drilling out holes to set the balusters into would have taken longer and don’t allow the flexibility of making adjustments if you miscalculate the spacing. If you do make such an error it only leaves a small screw hole that’s easy to fill or just ignore depending how visible it is. They are pretty sturdy but will crack if you put too much stress on them while installing. I used black silicon caulk on the ends to keep them from rattling They have been installed for about 6 weeks and are holding up well so far. We will see how they look over the years.

They were a touch too big, but they were the smallest ones I could find. I was able to use a chisel to shape them down to fit. The screws are strong. I predrilled and went into oak flooring without any problems.

One star off for the soft screws and easily damaged connectors. But makes for a a fast, attractive, and weatherproof connection if you're reasonably careful.

They seem to be sturdy and good quality. Fit the balusters nicely, have not installed them yet so I can’t speak to the long term durability.

I used these baluster connectors to do over 80' of cedar railing. They closely match the diameter of the 3/4" aluminum balusters. It is important to source straight lumber for railings as any vertical difference along the board will be evident along the rail panel. Metal balusters in particular will vibrate as you walk along the deck if loose.Remember to space connectors in compliance with local building codes. Less than 4" locally. I found it easiest to cut my rails to length and then use a pair of wood clamps to hold the rails together and measure for the placement of the connector pairs on the top and bottom rails.I recommend predrilling with 1/8" drill bit to lessen the chance of splitting. To calculate the quantity you will need for 4" spacing you can use 4.8 connectors per linear foot of railing. 2.4 per foot for each top and bottom railing.I had zero product failures during the install. The screws are robust and I only stripped one screw head during the project. I threw that screw in a tub of water and it did not show any evidence of rust after a week.

Nice to have both the straight and stair option. Screws are heavy duty as well. Excellent product.
