About this item

  • Milled teeth are 50 PERCENT SHARPER than competitors stamped or crush ground blades
  • Precision Induction hardening throughout the blade vs competitors flame hardening
  • Tooth edge is 20 PERCENT harder than any high carbon steel resulting in extended sharp time
  • More ductile steel than any high carbon steel leads to extended flex life and a cooler running blade

Timber Wolf's use of premium Swedish steels, proprietary induction hardening methods and exclusive tooth milling processes has created some of the finest woodworking blades in the world. Milling the teeth of the blades into a piece of strip steel produces a finished, razor sharp edge without ever having to stamp or grind the teeth. Induction hardening allows for different but more precise hardness throughout the blade. These unique manufacturing techniques along with the use of Swedish Silicon steel and the highest quality alloys set these blades apart from all other wood blades. This VPC (Variable Positive Claw) blade is designed for straight-line resawing in small to large boards, kiln and air dry, up to 12 inches wide. The variable pitch, positive claw, tooth design reduces resonance throughout the blade by using different size teeth, which produces a very clean finish almost polishing the wood as it cuts.

I have been using this to resaw dried mesquite logs. This blade is awesome. Tracks true and straight, and cuts thru dried mesquite with ease on a 1 hp bandsaw. Great blade!

These are great resaw blades that stand up over time. They cut clean and fast, which is about all one can ask of a blade. It's all ready to go when you put it on, so there's no complicated work to set the teeth or anything else. Load and go!

Spent a whole afternoon setting up the bandsaw to use this blade, getting everything at right angles, parallel, and adjusting guides and so on. I'd just added a 6" riser to my venerable Delta 14" saw. Then the tests on lots of pieces of softwood to ensure it was really setup right. And finally to resaw a 9"x3"x36" piece of 12 yr old rosewood. The cut was excellent with few saw marks. Throughput was pretty slow, about 20mins to go through the 36" length but the low tension worked well (was no better at higher tension). We'll see how the sharpness holds up over time...

Nice, aggressive teeth and big gullets for clearing out saw dust. I was having issue with drift, bit I'm new to bandsaw, and mine isn't in great shape to begin with. Once I eased up on the feed rate, cuts stayed nice and straight.

This is easily the best band saw blade I have ever had in the forty years that I have been running my Delta 14" saw.I had to RETURN the first one for EXCHANGE because it had a bad weld: it would not track w/o slamming back and forth against the thrust bearing. No big deal: yes, perhaps poor quality control... or just someone asleep at the welder. The replacement blade that I got... with no questions asked, works great! Now I know what they mean when they say it cuts like through butter... it really does. Smooth and fast re-sawing.

Pricey, but good product, practically the only blade around where the kerf is thin enough so tensioning it would not challenge the stiffness of prosummer band saws. Arrived as promised.

It’s definitely not as good as some reviews. It’s sharp I’ll give it that. No issues cutting red oak or maple, but the blade wander is ridiculous. Soft woods you have to move ridiculously slow or it fishtails and zigzags immediately. On hardwoods, you can actually cut fasteronce you establish a solid line and the wood can essentially help from the deflection. I purchased this while I’m a pinch, but it’s overpriced. My 5/8 Olsen blade cut substantially better. The blade tracking was much better as well. Took it off immediately once a better blade arrived.Unless you absolutely know how to set up your saw and tune it to a new blade, do not purchase this. As well, it’s not ideal for resawing.
