The camera was very easy to install the pros the camera very clear even at night so much so it actually captures falling pollen that is invisible to eye it is what I wanted an indiscreet looking peephole camera there's no doorbell or motion sensor. I live in an apt and I didn't want sensor to alert everytime someone passed my apt. I believe some of peephole camera with an obvious doorbell could be defeated. I bought this as part of my security not as a way to be contacted. The con is despite the camera has very good resolution very good picture but if you are getting up there in age like me the viewing image is very clear but small I really like the really no quality issues but I do wish there was larger screen available for this particular model. The only other thing is I wish there was a way to set how long the camera stayed on shuts off in about 5 seconds. One word of caution the field of view only widen farther out but if someone is not standing directly in front of the camera at your door you won't see them close no peripheral view about 10 15 feet out the view widens. If I could redesign this product the screen would be larger and I would increase the peripheral. I like the camera it very clear and discreet and doesn't advertise (Hey I'm a camera) plain and simple installation and the price is to me unbeatable. My cons stem from the fact I am an older person and my eyesight while still decent is in decline due to age but for a person much younger than myself or an older person with good sight or reading glasses this is going to work for you. I like the camera and I would recommend you buy it 5 stars.

Installed today, will update if necessary. Initial impression is very favorable. Some observations:This literally took 5 minutes to install. You need a 9/16 drill bit (if you don’t already have a peephole) and Phillips screwdriver. If this is too much for you, don’t blame the product…I chose this specific unit because it looks like a standard, old-school peephole from outside. It’s stealthy. No sense in giving away your tactical advantage. This is a simple, no frills digital peephole. It doesn’t talk you your Wi-Fi, the internet or space aliens. Please keep in mind what you are paying for this item. If you want to be notified, connect to the interwebs or talk to aliens, Amazon sells this really cool doorbell called Ring. The picture quality is perfectly acceptable for the price point and I liken the monitor image to a 10 year old baby monitor. If you have kids, you will understand. For those reviewers who complain about low light performance, why do you not keep your entry illuminated? SMH.Operation is very simple. Someone knocks on your door or rings your doorbell. You approach the door, push the little button and observe who is standing on the other side. You can then decide whether or not to engage with the person on the other side.To summarize: Product performs as advertised and expected. Easy install. Understand what you are buying before tapping the “place order†button. Move on with life.

I had a Brinno, which worked perfectly, but the screen was too tiny for me (I am old). This one installed literally in five minutes and the picture resolution, while not as good as the Brinno, was good enough. As soon as a good performer comes out with even a larger screen with just a peephole on the outer side, I will be a customer.

I bought this to replace an older optical viewport. While it seems silly to those with good vision, us older folks have a hard time seeing through the old direct view peepholes. This makes it super easy to see who is at the door. It installs in the same hole as your previous peephole and since it sleeps most of the time I'm sure the battery is going to last a long time. When you press the view button it takes about a second for the display to pop on which is fine by me as it took me longer than that to get the old optical peephole cover open previously. I like that you don't need any network connections or setup, just the physical installation. Unobtrusive design fits well.

First, the provided screws were too long for my front door thickness (1-3/4") making it necessary to purchase a shorter screw, in metric size. Not an easy task. The image is not as bright and clear as shown in the advertising. The installation instructions are hilarious and inadequate. Someone with English writing skills should rewrite the instructions. The illustrations within the instructions are not the same as the product provided. The worst of it was trying to make the electrical connection. The arrow on the backside of the screen housing was confusing. I assumed it identified the direction to slide the electrical tape onto the contact. Not so. The connection is made by simply pressing the tape onto the contact. Not a good connection. And, it was nearly impossible to get the electrical tape tucked in and hidden within the void behind the screen housing.I will make do with this product but will NOT recommend it to anyone that asks.

Ordered and received next day. Installed in 5 minutes. Nice video of who's knocking at my door without them knowing that someone is inside behind the door looking at them. In terms of safety is a must. Will buy another one for my daughter.

The camera was Very Easy to install. It works as described not as I envisioned.1. I expected the camera to continually display the view thru camera until the display button was pressed a second time. Instead it only displays the image for a maximum of 15 seconds. 2. I expected that a charging port would be available for use with rechargeable batteries. The batteries must be removed for charging. Either a second set of batteries must be inserted while the others are recharged or wait for the one set to complete charging.3. There is no WiFi interface for remote viewing via cell phone but this feature was not advertised as a included feature, sort of expected that.4.
