I purchased this because our meter dates back to the 1930's and is impossible to turn off with conventional tools available at the big box stores. This is constructed of heavy steel and does the job with ease (and a little muscle work)!

We searched every where for a strong metal key to assist in turning on/off our water outside. This is the correct size. Sturdy. Perfect for this use!

It’s got a good grip for the valve and it’s not flimsy like those small black and red valve keys. Must have for the home or plumber.

It's advertised as 36 in meter key but it's actually 34 so if you need all you can get it's not going to work very misleading

The tool appears to be very study and well-built; I was disappointed by the couple dozen chips in the paint; it was loose in a large cardboard box, but there were no paint chips in the box, so apparently the paint was chipped either at the factory, enroute to the warehouse, or at the warehouse. That said, it should not impact the effectiveness of tool.
