Works well for license plate mounting, previous owner over tightened the license plate screws causing the screw/bolt to keep spinning. I popped out the old hardware and inserted these! It works and held on securely! Been daily driving for 8 months with no issues.

So much cheaper than going to hardware store. All seemed to fit tightly and after a few fishing trips have held my accessories well and tight on the kayak

Not as good as OEM since you need to epoxy the threaded part into the rubber part to keep it from spinning.

These little well nuts are amazing. I used the smaller (M4) size to attach my new power outlet on my boat. They seem to be able to withstand a decent load. I've seen others use these and they come highly recommended to securely attach items to our plastic fishing boats. I haven't used them for anything additional yet but will update as needed.

I thought that these well nuts were good quality because they felt solid after I installed them, but I was wrong. Every single one that I had installed failed, and I bought two packs of this product, installing a total of 36 well nuts (M4 and M5) on my Pelican Bass Raider 10E. I had three scotty bases pull out while I was drifting bait recently and I already had previous failures of other scotty bases in the past. Some of the failures were due to the metal insert pulling out of the rubber, while other failures were the entire well nut pulling out. It seems as though the rubber does not compress fully because the insert is pulling up through the rubber instead of holding onto the rubber and squishing it. The partial compression makes it feel sturdy, but it is a false hold. A little sideways pressure and the well nuts failed each time. I am trying jack nuts instead, hopefully the metal will hold better than neoprene rubber.
