What is the 4WD Transfer Case Actuator Shift Motor Assembly?

This is what ended up fixing my 4wd issue. That does not mean that it is perfect however. I had to modify the small pinion gear cover as once it was tightened, it would pinch the gear and the motor did not have enough torque to move it any longer. Once it was modified, it worked great. 3.5/5.

Works as designed and does what it is supposed to do. Returned the snappy throttle response that had disappeared with the old sensor.

The part works fine and is a direct fit for the Toyota transfer case, HOWEVER: After installation, my 4wd dash light was flashing. I had to remove the black cover and the small steel cover/spur gear from the unit I received and re-clock the large worm-driven gear so that the internal electrical contacts on the gear aligned properly with the contacts on the inside of the black cap. Not particularly difficult, but annoying nonetheless.
