I have always hated the fact that I have a complete set of filters and they only fit one of my many lenses. When I saw this adapter I was really psyched to try it out. I can now use my complete set of 77mm filters with all of my lenses. The installation was easy and I keep the adapter ring on all the time to make it quicker to swap filters. The only downside of doing that is the original lens cap no longer fits. No worry there as I have plenty of lens caps at the larger size.

My lenses are either 67mm or 77mm for the most part. This adapter ring lets me purchase 77mm filters which can be adapted to 67mm, and that is a really big savings overall. I haven't managed to cross thread this adapter. For the price, this kind of accessory is a no-brainer for any photographer on any budget.

Very useful, I keep them on my every lens so I could use ND filter easily mount on the lens.

In all honesty, this camera filter adapter ring appears to be well made and well finished. And since it's just an adapter ring, there is no glass element in it that could affect image quality. So why the "3" rating? Call me stupid, if you must--but I assumed that a "step down" adapter would allow me to step down a large-diameter lens filter to mount onto a smaller-diameter lens. That would step down my 72mm filter to fit onto my 58mm lens. So I was shocked to receive the opposite of that--an adapter that would enable a 58mm filter to be mounted onto a 72mm lens! To me, that would be "stepping up" the smaller filter to fit onto the larger lens. And why would anyone want to do that??? It would almost certainly cause vignetting of the image (the corners of the image would be darkened). Therefore, I consider the item I received to be useless.Well, when I looked back at the manufacturer's description on the website, and read it more carefully, I saw that their definitions of "step down" and "step up" are the opposite of mine. So, in all honesty, it was my own fault for not looking more carefully at the description--and thus receiving exactly the opposite if what I thought I was ordering! But I still took off two stars because I feel the website description should have been MUCH clearer about "step up" vs. "step down"--and I'm also surprised that they would even be offering adapters that would cause that sort of vignetting problems. (They should have at least warned possible buyers of that possibility.)Still, if you're more careful than I was, and you make sure you correctly order their "step up" adapter rings (and not the "step down" variety), you can expect the adapter you receive to be a useful, good-quality product.

This is so much better and easier to use than my old step up ring set. I usually have to connect multiple rings together to jump from 67mm to 82mm. The front of my lens would begin to look like an ice cream cone, and some of my wider angle lenses would even have the image clipped in the corners because of those rings. This is a single ring that is more convenient to use and does not hurt my image quality due to clipping in the corners. It fits perfectly to my 67mm lenses and allows me to use my larger 82mm filters. The ring has a good quality build to it that does not get stuck on my lenses and filters.
