I bought this to use at work to warm up lunches in the microwave. Plastic dishes get stained easily, but this dish is so, so easy to clean. Its a bit bigger than what I needed, but I like the glass top vs. a plastic top and there just isn't a lot of sizes in between. Price was a little high, but I really like using it. Most everything I microwave is 3 minutes or less and it doesn't seem to get too overly hot, but I think the possibility might exist if I were to do something for much longer.

this is the ideal size for me to make my casseroles for one. My 6qt crockpot is too big for a meal for one, and the other casserole dish I had was barely big enough. This serves my purpose to a tee.

I had been searching for quite some time to get a pyrex covered bakeware that would hold a chicken. The oven I use is a GE Advantium (speed cook) and it will cook (and brown) a whole chicken in 25 minutes. The oven (basically a microwave on steroids) rotates the food for even cooking and every other bakeware had handles too long - and prevented proper rotation. This is the perfect size. Lid and bowl fit nicely together and the lid is easy to remove. All of my other pyrex bakeware has now been relegated to storage.

I use this casserole, as well as the saller version, for baking no-knead artisan bread at 400 degrees. It is a bit pricy, but each loaf turns out moist, crusty, and perfectly shaped. The result is much better than in your typical Dutch oven. I am so glad I gave this a try. It's well worth the money.

I like that it is large enough to hold 2 chickens cut into large pieces, the lid sits nice and snug, no heat get out and I can see through to view how it's coming along without needing to take the lid off to constantly check. I roasted 2 marinated chickens and they came out great. Sorry no photo, I forgot to take one :(
