I am using this as a flexible drain line for my humidifer. I am not able to install more permanent rigid drain pipes due to the awkward location of my humidifer, but this hose seems to work great. Before this I always used flexible PVC clear tubing, but had to replace it every 2-3 years. Hopefully this will last longer, but only time will tell. Will update after the winter season on how well it held up. So far seems to be working just fine.

I needed the hose as a quick fix for an outdoor faucet that rotted off of a steel pipe protruding in the middle of my yard. I spent days trying to find a fitting/coupler for this pipe to reattach a 1/2 inch outdoor garden faucet. The pipe diameter was an odd size (11/16 inch), and the walls of the steel pipe were very thick as compared to copper pipe. I couldn't find anything to address this. So, after cutting the pipe, I used a 4 inch section of this hose to join the steel pipe to a barbed brass elbow, and clamped both sides. The garden faucet attached to the brass elbow. Not pretty, but it worked, and since the hose is rated at 200 psi, water pressure should not be a problem. The hose is only rated for 23 degrees, though, so we'll see what happens after next winter. Some day, I'll have a plumber fix it permanently when I have other work done.I didn't find any issue with the smell, and the hose straightens out very easily by dipping it for about 30 seconds in hot (not boiling) water. Also - clamps were not included, contrary to the listing.

This is high quality hose at a good price per foot. It does however have a strong plastic odor. Hopefully that will disappear with time.

When I got the hose it's fairly tightly coiled for shipping. Just straighten it out for a little while and you're good to go. Dip the end in warm water for about a minute and it slips right on the barb.

use this to remove/refill my fish tanks with water. It works great. It's on the stiff side but rolls up easily.

Looks the same as what I've bought in the past from big box stores. Being braided they can handle more pressure.

I use it to change out water with a pump; but it tends to kink up andits hard to roll up and put away.
