I keep a filter on my backpack sprayer so the nozzle does not get clogged. Tried fuel filters but the paper did not like to be wet 24/7. Now I can easily see the filter and easily remove it for cleaning. Yea!

I bought this to filter my beer after primary fermentation when transferring to my keg for oxygen free transfer. I would see tiny bubbles in line. I used Teflon tape on both connectors to no avail. After closer inspection I discovered a hairline crack in the clear bowl. I wouldn't buy this again.

I use this filter with a Smucker brand weed wiper system. The threads on the fittings are straight, not tapered as pipe fittings normally are. The fittings are a very loose fit in the filter base. Because of this they don't seal and they leak, making the filter UNUSABLE as delivered for any application. I chucked the fittings into my wood lathe turned a groove to receive an o-ring, that formed an effective seal that didn't leak. The filter bowl does seal on the base, the sloppy and weak fitting fit is the main issue.

I attached this product as a way to keep trash out of a water-cooled engraving machine and to say it leaks is an understatement. I tried replacing my barbed fittings with purchased fittings from the hardware store and sealed them with pipe dope, but the water POURS from the threaded fitting area. The threaded 'bowl' on top also leaks at an alarming rate. To be clear, I'm running a pump with about 2 lbs of line pressure, which is very low.

I dislike that it didn’t arrive as pictured with the barbed fittings . It also took a month to be delivered.

After adding seals I can get it to work well enough for filtering a wine, but no way would I put on any permanent water/pressure line. It leaks from everywhere.

Has 1/2 NPT fittings, not 3/8. No mounting provisions whatsoever.
