I researched and decided to go an 1/8†thicker on this with the fire resistant silicone and I am impressed! Had replaced last seals with cheap Tractor Supply rope and it was a waste of time and money.My wood stove is a Quadrafire Isle Royale and this is the same quality of seals as factory that lasted 6 years. Great product!

Wood pellet stove service tech suggested this gasket material be used with sealant outside around my chimney pipe to seal a 3/4 inch gap due to the high temp rubber gasket dry rotting out over summer. I found high temp sealant and this gasket on amazon and used to to correct my problem. Worked well for the task, so I'm thankful that it's one more winter task off my list of things to get done before the snow comes. Thanks - Mike

The rope worked perfect! It was very easy to install on my wood burning stove between the glass and the stove itself. I would highly recommend buying this product if you need to replace an old gasket in a wood burning stove.
