Get these for your projects. They cost a LOT less than what you'll pay at hardware stores. Plus, they're better than galvanized.

Cheaper, easier to get, than big box stores and even cheaper than the cheapest place local i can get them. I use these on cable railing rail post mounts along with large stainless bolts through the rim joist and additional blocking. These prevent the nut getting buried in the wood.

They're round, 3/8" x 7/8", flat, and are stainless steel. What more do you need to know?
