Beats the daylights out of plastic ones. Broke yet another plastic one and ordered this one. Gave this one a bit of a stress test and it ended up just as it began.

This thing is a piece of crap and made out of cast aluminum, broke on the first drum I tried to open! Don’t waste your money and find something better!!!

Stay Away from this garbage !!!!Looks good but totally useless.This wrench is made out of material that is weaker than a Fischer - Price infants toy !1st bucket I went to open and barely put any pressure on the handle to unscrew the bung and quicker than you could say snap, it broke !the cardboard box is stronger than the wrench !!!!If you look at the pictures it is a break from material weakness - not a stress fracture !Products made from material like this are what give China and Chineesium made a bad name !Amazon should ban Companies that sell products that are made of garbage like this.

Normally these drum openers are like, a foot long in my experience - something to give you real leverage for opening annoying buckets. This one isn't. Honestly not sure it's saving me any effort opening 1-gal plastic lids vs my hands.
