It offers greater design flexibility, faster product assembly, smoother and cleaner exterior surfaces and improved product performance in many applications. The fastener consists of continuous polyolefin strips with polyolefin stems having a mushroom shaped top. The mushroom heads allow the fasteners to easily slide over each other allowing positioning of parts before they are snapped together creating a firm fastening attachment. Open and close instantly by simply pulling the interlocking strips apart. The adhesive attaches to metal, plastic, and most rigid or flexible surfaces. Resists solvents, moisture and plasticizers. Also resists heat up to 200 degrees. 1" wide x 4' long roll. Type 250 (approximately 250 stems per square inch). Serves as a great addition to any pedal board! Worked great to hold my pedals on my board and keep them from falling off. The velcro that came with the board didn't hold well at all, so I asked a friend what he was using. He recommended a product that was too pricey, so I decided to go with these instead. They work great! Just be sure to clean your board with alcohol first, then put it down. They will stick like crazy!

I have used Dual-Lock for years, and I know it will do what it's designed to do very well. It provides very firm retention, while still letting you separate the bond if you need to. This is much more expensive than Velcro, but it's worth every cent!I have used it to mount microphones on classroom desks, and electrical equipment inside lecterns. I've never had anyone pry a mic loose accidentally with this stuff. When you need something with 3x the hold of industrial Velcro, this is the stuff to go to! Once you place it with Dual Lock, it's not coming lose unless you pry it loose.One caution: remember that this stuff mounts with adhesive, and over time the adhesive can come loose in warm environments. Mounted on a horizontal surface, it will never fail to hold. Mounted on a vertical surface, the Dual Lock will not come lose, but over time the adhesive may get soft and release. Plan accordingly.

This 3M Dual Lock Fastener is an excellent interlocking adhesive for anything. Works well in securing shower curtain rods if you do not like to drill holes on your nice tile and/or marble wall finish. Much flexibility on options. Holds very strong.

Dual Lock holds extremely well, as the faces of the tape actually lock together, compared to the hook-and-loop products which have a fuzzy fabric on one side that doesn't hold as strongly and that wears out over time.Mine came in two segments, one of which was just 4" long. That means less adhesive length, so the 4" piece would have greater probability of the adhesive separating from whatever it's connected to. I guess that's 3M's way of not wasting short ends during packaging.NOTE: It's important to know that the grip design is identical for both surfaces you're connecting. So this four foot piece will give you only two feet of connection. The product photo accurately shows this--I should have looked more closely and spared myself some disappointment.

I put this on a pedal board and the backs of pedals.(My pedals sagged or fell off my pedal board when I used Velcro.) This product provides a good locking grip. You can feel the snap when it locks.I need to twist and wiggle a bit to remove a pedal. No problem.Much more dependable than Velcro.

This is really the only velcro fastener that actually works and keeps working over time. I have stopped using any other velcro fastener. Might actually be too strong for some applications.

Bought this to use on my new car reg plate, cleaned the area, all dry, even heated the area up with a hairdryer as I heard this helps adhesive. Woke up the next day with the front plate on the ground. It did rain later in the day so water may not have helped but it means the adhesive must take a while to grip which I hadn’t read would happen. Also, it wasn’t clear that the length given is both halves on the tape… so useable tape is half the size.
