Scotch Vinyl Electrical Tape Super 88 is an 8.5 mil thick, premium grade, all weather tape that is designed to provide a protective jacket and primary electrical insulation for splices up to 600V. The flame-retardant tape withstands a temperature range of 0 to 221F (-18 to 105C).
Scotch Vinyl Electrical Tape Super 88 is thicker for heavy-duty use yet highly conformable for a smooth wrap for every application. The pressure-sensitive rubber-based adhesive is compatible with solid dielectric cable insulations, rubber and synthetic splicing compounds as well as epoxy and polyurethane resins.
Designed to perform continuously, it can be used for indoor or outdoor applications to inhibit the corrosion of electrical conductors and provide UV protection.
It has excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids and corrosion.
Elastic backing and aggressive adhesive provide moisture-tight electrical and mechanical protection with minimum bulk. Use for permanent low voltage primary and secondary insulation, cable jacketing, mechanical protection and padding.

This Super 88 Variety of 3M electrical tape is very pricey, but we rarely use electrical tape, and we wanted the very best for our applications. This is much thicker and more durable that cheaper mass-marketed electrical tape.

It seems funny to write a review for tape, but this stuff really is good. Well worth the slightly increased cost over the cheapo electrical tape.

After using 3M Super 88 electrical tape you'll never want to go back to the cheap stuff again. Absolutely worth the expense. Not only does it make excellent electrical tape but it's extremely UV resistant making it a great additional to another 3M product Temflex 2155 rubber wrapping tape.The two together will weatherproof RF and electrical connections for years on end and come with the added benefit for being easily removable if you ever need to regain access to the connection. By wrapping Super 88 over Temflex 2155 you protect the Temflex from UV and make a very stable, very secure weatherproofed wrap. If you're involved in amateur radio or need to weather proof outdoor RF or electrical connections I highly recommend the combination of Temflex 2155 wrapped with 3M Super 88 for years of protection.

I have used Scotch No. 88 electrical tape for a number of years with great success. This tape stretches very well and the adhesive is strong. It is not not as much affected by the cold weather as some other brands of electrical tape. This tape may cost more than some of the others, but its ease of handling makes it very much worth the price!

I purchased a cheaper item but it would not stay on my windows. I am not trying to use this as electrical tape but for gridding for my windows. This thing stays put. I will be ordering more since it works

Le rapport qualité-prix n'est vraiment pas la. Je pensais recevoir 12 rouleaux et j'en ai reçu qu'un seul.Se que j'ai reçu ne correspond pas à ma commande et à la description. Donc, effectivement je suis decu du produit qui ne me permet pas de terminer mon projet!Bon magasinage!***Mise à jour!!Ca fait 4 fois que je commande depuis janvier 2021 et je ne recois JAMAIS la quantité que je devrais recevoir. Je reçois toujours 1 rouleau et NON 1 LOT de 12 rouleaux.Par la suite, j'ai appelé 6 fois le service à la clientèle de Amazon pour faire modifier la fiche et aucun changement n'a encore eu lieu!!!J'ai également fait l'évaluation ici et posé des questions et il semble que c'est inutile!!!Découragé!!!
