I used these rods in a 3d build of a planetarium and they performed beautifully. It was critical that they be straight as an arrow and uniformly 5mm in diameter for the model to work properly. I had purchased other "5mm" rods several weeks ago from a hobby store and they were closer to 5.5mm and would have required a major modification to many model parts. If you need precision, buy these.

Purchased the 15.7” 2mm dia to make hinge pins in an rc car. 2 were moderately straight along the length, three were not. They sheared very easily.
