Great price and the colors are high quality. I've struggled with uneven thread tension and my machine doesn't have a lower tension machine so quilting has been frustrating. I had been using whatever random yarn I had around and just was not happy. This thread is a complete game changer for me and I think I'll only use Aurifil from now on. Very satisfied. Also I'm nearly finished piecing a Large throw quilt and I have barely made a dent in this particular spool. Great value

It took me several years to realize that most of the lint build up in my sewing room was actually coming from the bargain brand cotton thread I was using.Not until I saw the thread breaking down and experienced serial thread breakage, did I decide to try the Aurifil thread most quilt designers recommend using. Something that helped convince me, besides a dislike of daily bobbin case cleaning, was a serif photos of microscope views of various thread brands. Aurifil was the only thread without multiple loose thread "barbs" coming off of the main thread strand.Thinking about the costs to buy a new sewing machine due to preventable repair issues caused by cheap threads also helped convince me. Quality thread is an investment in the longevity of my sewing machine.
