I do a lot of free motion quilting and this is a great thread for that. At 50 wt it does not build up so is great for backtracking and creating a lighter weight quilt with good drape. If matching you fabric color this is almost invisible, allowing the quilting and loft to be the star. I also like this for contrasting colors, too when I want the stitching to show. Produces more lint in my Q20 than I like but is a great thread. This package deal is a good price, too.

This is a good quality thread and in my opinion it is the thread of choice for piecing quilts. The 50 weight makes a light seam and when the bobbin thread is wound it holds more thread and lasts longer. When the seams are pressed they lie very flat.

I just tried this thread for the first time and I'm amazed at the difference it makes. I'm a beginning quilter and had been using less expensive thread. After hours of frustration I decided to give Aurifil a try. I'm never going back. It sews like a dream, and is perfect for machine quilting. I started with white, but will be adding more colors. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to improve their sewing.

Was using some other brand, and it left behind a lot of lint in my sewing machine on the top plate. Heard about this thread and decided to give it a try. So far, it is not showing lint left behind on the top plate. So, if it keeps me from having to take it in too often (repaired) than this is good for me. Go through a lot of white thread when quilting. Good and fast shipping.

I'm making masks for healthcare workers, non-profits and community groups and I go through a LOT of thread. My machine gets a real workout, and cheap thread causes lots of problems that I can't afford to have. This thread is some of the best I have found, strong, reliable and trouble free. Thank you!
