I have two of the tower type cheaper patio heaters. One would not stay lit and the other would work some of the time. This is a nice kit as it includes both the thermocouple and the tilt/safety switch. One of mine only had a bad switch but for the price and the hassle to take it apart, it makes sense to replace both parts. Valves usually last a long time but these two parts seem to fail ever few years on cheaper heaters you get from big box stores. These are universal but will fit most generic brands.

These were super easy to replace and fit perfectly well for my patio heater. My heater had stopped working in the sense where the flame would initially ignite, but even after holding the lever for over 5 minutes, the flame wouldn't stay on. I cleaned the head on the original and still didn't work. It was time to replace it.The replacement is super easy and most people should be able to replace this themselves. Having a 4 pack at this price is great because I can make sure I have backups for future faulty ones.

I revived a patio heater that was about 10 years old with this item. It worked fine and was basically identical to the one I replaced.
