I use this just about everyday. I believe if you’re going to burn candles be sure to trim the wick. I think it’s much safer. This is attractive and well made. It would make a great gift.

Luxurious look and feel, I really love these. I also love that they come in a pouch to keep them together. I most often use the little hook to dip the wick into the wax and it produces the least smoke (almost none). I have had it for a year and it is all holding up nicely. Just wipe everything off while the wax is still hot and they'll look brand new everytime.

I love to burn candles. Something about the primitive brain that gets comfort from "fire" even if it is small. I was having issues with my candles not burning fully so I learned the wick needs to be trimmed or it will "drown" itself in melted wax. Bought this to take better care of my candles so they will burn longer and more fully. The tools are well made, feel heavy so you shouldn't have issues manipulating them in the small space of a deep burning candle. The wick trimer is a little stiff but should get better with use.

Haven’t used a set before- scissors stick slightly. The set works well though and definitely is better using a set as it is easier and prevents as much smoking etc.
