UPDATE 12/01/2023 : Been 1 month since I installed it. I have gained approximately 2 mpg when I drive normal and don't hot rod it. So that is a big plus!Wanted one but didn't want to pay the high price of other brands. This one was worth it. Decently priced and I have noticed a significant difference when installed on a stock 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5.3 L V8.So I wanted to wait a week to really see how I liked it. There is a noticeable difference in throttle response. This thing really woke up that stock V8. Not like I gained a ton of HP but it definitely is quicker. Can easily spin the tires now compared to not being able to before. Sounds a lot throatier too. Gives it a nice roar under full throttle. I would guess I gained 10-15 HP but that is a guess only. All I know is that I am glad I did it.I have not noticed any increase in MPG, in fact it seems to have gone down 1 mpg yet that could be because I am getting on it more now. Only time will tell as I ease up on my lead foot.Either way, I highly recommend it. Was not hard to install, only came with 3 clamps though and I needed a 4th one. Also, the plastic piece that goes inside the tube and has a notch cut out for the MAF sensor, be sure to put that in before you clamp down the boot to the tube. The boot will hold it in place so it doesn't rattle around. Overall it was a pretty easy install. I removed the stock air box and also removed the bottom tray that is under the air box. Used two of those bolts to hold the new on in place. Only took about an hour to install it.

It came in pieces with no instructions. It wasn’t too hard to figure out for the most part but I did end up with an extra plastic piece that seemed redundant. Other than that it fit perfectly and works perfectly. Engine runs smother with no ill effects

So my factory air cleaner box was damaged so it wouldn't seal anymore. I came across this 4" intake for $85 at the time, and with the good reviews I figured way not. This intake is seriously worth the money. No instructions witch is meh but it's straight forward so easy install about 45 min. 2 things I will say there is an air reducer that fits in the filter side of the intake. You need this as it keeps the air passing the MAS sensor close to factory to avoid check engine light. Second there is a review that shows the crank vent tub being stuck into the factory one this is incorrect. Just remove it and toss it the rubber line is long enough to fit on the rail and fit to the nipple on the intake pipe. I hose clamped mine but it's low psi so you may not need to.

This cold air intake came well packed and with everything needed for the complete installation. I definitely noticed an improvement on engine performance and it sounds great! Held up for over 2 years. The filter is easy to clean and change. The heat shield works well for keeping the hot air out. I noticed an immediate power increase. It fit perfectly without any modifications. Seemed just as good as the more expensive name brand ones but for a fraction of the cost. Thank you!

Let's be realistic about this thing. If you are buying it and thinking it will improve performance and fuel economy, you are dreaming! I have had it on my truck for a month and can confirm. It does change the engine sound on hard acceleration, but that is about it. My truck is stock also. It is a cheap way to replace a busted factory air filter box.It fitted without cutting it down as some people said needed to be done. I removed the old airbox tray so that may have helped. The valve cover vent fitted easily after trimming it down a bit.If you do buy it. Install it from filter back to engine. Much easier. If you are confident enough to change your engine oil, you could install this thing.

ZERO STARS!!! Installed in 2011 Cadillac Escalade with 6.2L with out the instructions because there weren't any included... No big deal I have put several intakes on many vehicles I have owned. However I have never had one give me as much trouble as this one does. It keeps throwing check engine codes for Mass Air Flow Sensor. I tried the recalibrate computer trick by unplugging the battery, light comes back on anyways. I even went as far to buy a new MAF sensor to the tune of $80 and the light still comes back on.... My vehicle is now running terrible, and cold starts are rough. Sometimes I have to crank it twice because it wont fire up on the first attempt. Very unhappy, will return for refund as soon as I figure out a better replacement since going back to the OEM one is not an option anymore.

The air filter mounting base is high and the hood cannot be closed. The base has been cut. Note that my car model is 2010 GMC.
