I have owned other dome magnifiers (also called Bug Eye) and they are all nice. Just take care to keep them free from scratches. This one is a bargain at the price, and is on the larger size. You really can't go wrong. It glides across the paper effortlessly. It might not be the best for viewing 3D objects, but for printed matter it is perfect. Free storage bag and cleaning cloth?? Icing on the cake! This will give you many years of service if you handle it with care.

My Dad is legally blind. These wide magnifying globes have been a tremendous help. The width of these globes enables him to see more text at once.

This is the fourth dome type magnifier I've purchased. The first two were just too small (width wise). The third one didn't have a flat part to pick it up with. The only way you could lift it was by sliding it off the side of the desk. this one works amazing. Nice and large. Bringing it to work and bringing home the small one I have there. While I wish it wasn't >$20.00 it's actually worth every penny I paid for it. I'd buy another if I had a need for another one.

This is a beautiful magnifying (half) globe - just as advertised. Thank goodness it had several layers of (manufacturer's) packaging because Amazon sent it in a flimsy bag - this is a heavy item and it clearly had been tossed around, destroying all the layers around it (but staying intact itself). It needs to be sent in a heavy cardboard box.

Unable to have cataract surgery for over a year now because of health issues, I had reached the point that I could no longer enter our financial information on our computer because I couldn't read the receipts and the bills. - even with glasses. Now the pandemic has further delayed my surgery. Constantly switching glasses so that I could try to read the computer (on which I could enlarge the font) and reading glasses (which didn't seem to help much) made me nauseated. This little magnifier (well, not so little), has made it possible for me to work. No more trying to figure out if it's an 8 or a 5 or a 6 or a 3. I can see it! I didn't have room on my workspace for a hulking magnifier hovering over a page. I can move this guy around easily to see what I need to see. Someone said it was blurry, but I find it crystal clear and precise. It does help to have a good, bright desk lamp. I like that it comes in a protective pouch and I return it to its box after use to keep it pristine. No more frustration, mistakes, headaches and nausea. I'm so glad I got it. As an aside, I also got a keyboard with large white letters on black and it's been great, too!

This is a light and attractive item that doubles as a paperweight as well as a very effective magnifier. It is acrylic so you can drop it without fear of shattering it. I bought a 2 inch one and a 4 inch one. I keep one in the kitchen to read the ingredients on food packaging and cooking instructions, and one for the office for the fine print on mail or anything else that crosses my desk. I am always reaching for one to help me see better.

I rarely use it as a magnifier but it does work there as well. Not as well as a dedicated magnifying glass but enough to get me past the occasional tiny text.

It is heavy and solid, only good to read if the book is on a stable flat surface.I purchased this because the hand held minifying glass with light that I have I sometimes get tired of holding so than I switch to this one
