I purchased these to roll chalk paint on vinyl and leather furniture. The roller Operates smoothly and the rolling brushes are absorbent and distribute the paint smoothly. Only four stars because they do shed a bit.Tip: Use a Lint roller and or a hairbrush before using these with paint. That will help minimize the amount of shedding in the painting process. When I use the lint roller, the painting goes smoothly.

I recently decided to paint my a desk in my apartment and needed a small, compact roller set. This was perfect! Nice and small and the roller worked great! Comes with a bunch of brush heads you can dispose of each time you paint. The pan is a little hard to clean but other than that I highly recommend d!

For one thing, these rollers are 4 1/2" wide, not 4". The tray is unnecessarily large and you are somewhat forced to use more paint than you need. As another reviewer stated, the rollers do not always roll. They get stuck and you just end up sliding the roller flat against the wall without its moving. The worst thing is that it falls apart. You get pieces of material on your wall, some of them quite large, which you then have to pick off with your fingers. I ended up getting the job done, but not without some strife. I found the idea of cleaning them to be a joke. They soak up lots of paint; the only sensible thing to do is to take them off the handle and throw them away.

These rollers are excellent. However, instead of being flat on the one end, the fluff extends around the end which means that you have to exercise extra care when painting close to the ceiling. The little tray is sturdy.
