I needed something to block out light when using my laptop at different location. This does the job great and makes working in extremely bright light really easy to read the laptop monitor.While it does fold down, it doesn't easily fit into some laptop bags. If you have backpack or shoulder bag that carries a 17" or larger then it may fit in the bag.

The hood is perfect for my captioning jobs. The material is a lot harder than other hoods, so it doesn't bow over time. The pieces that attach to the screen are much sturdier as well. The only downside is they're so tight, it took me five minutes to muscle it on the screen. I worry that I might accidently push too hard one day.

This sunshade works perfectly for me! It's easy to clip on, lightweight to keep in my work bag, and functions from different angles. The photo shows a bit of glare, but it is not the case when I look at my screen. I have used it working outside a coffee shop and people always stop and ask me how well does it work and where I got it. I truly love it and appreciate it gives me the opportunity to work outside!

I got the large-sized version for my 13-inch laptop and the clip on the bottom left dug into the seal around the monitor, and that small rip messed up my entire monitor for good - spent half the day on the phone with IT, and it was really fun explaining the reason I needed an entire new, expensive laptop. Are we allowed to curse in these reviews?? Thanks a LOT, SunShader.

This product works really well at shading my screen and keeping my laptop (MacBook air) cool enough in the heat that it doesn't shut down, but the side clamps are so tight they've pulled out the seal on the edge of the screen. They seem to need to be this tight but at the cost of the integrity of the laptop seal.

It will shade the sun but there is a lot of reflection when itâ€™s really sunny. The side panels are hard to attach and I almost damaged my computer screen with one of them so I donâ€™t attach them anymore. Rather expensive considering is cardboard with a plastic cover. Not worth the money.

The holding mechanism is too tight so it causes damage to the screen. Not a reliable thing. I would not recommend it. I am going to return it.
