How to Measure Cabinet for Hinge Overlay Size
Step 1
Close cabinet door. Measure overlay size at the side with hinges.
Place a tape along the edge of cabinet door
Step 2
Place the 2nd tape along the edge of face frame.
Step 3
Measure the distance between the edge of two tapes. In the case, Overlay size is 1/2 inch. But, your cabinet overlay size could be 1-1/4 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch, 1-1/2 inch, or 1-3/8 inch.
Another way to check overlay size if you replace your old hinges
Usually, manufacturer marked size on their hinges.
You just check the marking on your old hinges, order the same size to your old ones.

Works well, soft closer. Installed with the Rockler Euro hinge template guide system which was for Blum hinges. Even though these are not Blum, they fit the template perfect. Hardest part is aligning the 2 screws on the door so that it is square to the cabinet. All screws are included.

I took a chance on these replacement hinges.I’m glad I did! 20 of 24 were no longer working on my present kitchen cabinets, they all broke within 4 years and the were the originals that came with my new kitchen! These work terrific, hope they last a lot longer than the originals!

Never changed a cabinet hinge before in my life. Watched online video to ensure I knew how to measure overlay, ordered these and they fit perfectly. Another company advertised that thier hinges are mounted with two screws onto the frame instead of one, I can see this as a benefit as I've often had the single screw on hinges loosen up, but for now they seem secure and I have no complaints.

I've had some broken GRASS 830-20 kitchen hinges and these worked very well as a replacement. There was no cabinet redrilling. It fitted the same holes. The cabinet doors needed to be drilled but it was super easy. There is a great video on how to measure which size you need. Attached are the photos of the old vs new hinge.

These soft-close hinges are a great value. They were easy to install, and the soft-close feature is very nice and works perfectly. My old hinges were a nightmare to adjust for over 30 years. Why I waited so long to change them out is the question. Modern technology is making life easier.

I was not impressed with the fit of these hinges, The instructions the came with for placement were NONE! The web we found on our own that supposedly supports these hinges was not easy to find, and understand. I would not us this company's product again.,
