The only thing I would recommend is that you upsize the thimble by 1/16 inch based on the diameter of the braided cable you use. So if you have a 1/4 inch cable, use a 5/16 inch thimble.

Would recommend sizing 1 up from your rope diameter.. snug fit..

It’s not easy to fit 1/4 inch cable through the opening. If the end of cable is loose the threads won’t fit easily. If you tape the end tight it won’t fit. Eventually I got the cable through without any binding on the bitter end and cut myself in the process. Once it’s on it works well.

Well made, ¼†wire rope fits good, not too tight but with enough room to thread wire rope through.

This thing is tighter than a virgin on her wedding night. I made it through one side just but could get it any further causing me to have to cut the cable and get some non tubed ones
