I needed a bulb to replace a lava lamp’s bulb that burned out. This one works very well. It’s brighter than the 25 watt bulb the lamp came with which is an improvement, but it makes the metal cap on top hotter.

Now that everyone is going to LED bulbs, it’s difficult to find bulbs that get warm enough to create the convection current needed to make a lava lamp work effectively. These bulbs fit the bill. Now all 4 of my lava lamps enthrall the grandchildren when ever they sleep over.

We got one of the 10 dollar Walmart lamps for my son for Christmas and the bulb filament was already busted. I found this 4 pack on Amazon and they work and fit perfect. They seem to be sturdier than the one that originally came with the actual lamp! The pictures provided in the description photos helped to see that these would fit the lamp we had.
