These heating mats (you get 4!) are Terrific. The mats do not use Any electricity to get warm. It uses your pet's body weight to turn on. It's a low/medium, safe warmth. I laid my arm on it and I was very surprised at how quickly it warmed up and felt comfy. I've placed the mats on cat trees, on the floor in front of my door where my cat likes to look out (see pic), and even one inside of my pet rats cage. The mats fit perfectly wherever I put them. Everyone seems warm, happy and Quiet. Easy to wash; I hang them to dry. I like the size. If it's really cold I put an normal blanket on top for more insulation for the night. Definitely recommend these!

Should work in theory, but my five cats don’t seem to like the crinkle sound that it makes. A better use is putting one on your COLD CAR SEAT IN WINTER AND LET YOUR BODY HEAT RADIATE BACK TO YOUR BEHIND!

Just a flat piece of material. Noisy to the touch. Animals won't lay on it. Complete waste.

Description says fluffy, not fluffy at all. You have to use something under it or it doesn't warm up like it should. Cheaply made for what they cost. Awful thin. When it says fluffy, you want fluffy.

Thin, cheap, noisy. My cats will scoot these pads away to lie down on the cold, bare couch. And they DO smell toxic, despite the item description. I'd bought self-warming pet pads several years ago that were thick, fluffy, and WORKED; those finally wore out after 30 years(!), and that's why I got these nasty things in the first place. Do yourself a favor, and get your pets something else!
