The support description was a bit confusing for me, but easy to figure out when I saw them.There are 10 (or whatever number you ordered) half circles that make 5 whole supports (circles).There are “extender stakes†that the circular pieces legs fit in which create the height you ordered (these go into the soil). I presume this allows them to use the top part with different heights and allows for easier shipping and storage.Some reviews said they wanted to use the two 1/2s separately and they would work that way. However, be aware that when the 2 half circles are used together they stabilize each other, so without that you’ll need to figure out how to accomplish that with plants needing strong support.My snake plants definitely needed both 1/2’s.Also, you’ll want to figure out where the extenders go in the dirt so you can put them in place then slide the upper circle bracket in unless you’re much more talented than I was at keeping three separate pieces together to put them in the dirt.Note- if your pot or container curves in toward the bottom you need to allow for than when pushing in the stakes!These arrived quickly and in good shape.

I would have liked a slightly taller height, maybe 16 inches. I have had to cut back the height of one of my plants due to it exceeding the rim of the plant support.
