These were great to reinforce the joists under my deck for hot tub insulation.

The top plate turns with the threaded adjustment bolt so it’s useless if you want to jack something up. It just spins right off the top support as it turns. Now if you had to jack something up with something else then lower on to these, then they would be fine.

Would not use these for home foundation issues. Materials are too cheap

why is the top plate welded it should be able to rotate ,the nut should fixed to the top of bolt so it can be raised or lowered when plates are secured . very poor design. not what I was expecting from a jack it can only raised when mounted in place , so corrections can be made

The top plate spins with the bolt. The The bolt needs to spin to raise the plate while the plate remains on studs but the entire system of these jacks is flawed and they can not be used as floor jacks again these will not work..
